Most Successful Men Do Yoga

My instructor in Bikram yoga has been in that kind of business for ten years now, and I must say that he belongs to men who became successful because of doing yoga. I can practically say that yoga does change a man to a more efficient and focused worker, or perhaps, businessman.

Everybody who is inviting a friend to a yoga class reiterates that yoga can help anyone who practices it to develop his mental focus and balance in everything that he does in life. Since yoga involves mental activities, it gives too much reservations to the mind that step-by-step plans whether in career or personal life should be thought, prepared and done very carefully in aiming for sure success.

I just realized that most of successful men I know do yoga, Bikram in particular. There is n great wonder why these people achieve success in whatever endeavor they have because of positive minds that they carry with them. My instructor actually agree with me every time I tell this to my friends. He says that even those who are not into business succeed in life because yoga can undoubtedly help them keep a positive outlook in life, good plans and thorough actions toward their endeavor.

In all yoga poses, there are various focuses. These poses are done for a certain purpose but generally, the mind always go through a process of deep concentration where positivity in thoughts and actions can get improved. On the other hand, anyone can achieve success in anything that he does if this positive mind and action are with him.

Worry-Free Holiday

Every holiday season, people are very busy with shopping for new clothes, shoes and gifts for their loved ones. I must admit that I do the same thing. Along with this holiday routine, people are also busy with thinking what food to prepare and how to arrange stuffs at home.

On the other hand, many of us today are worrying where to get money for all these. We are starting to have problem about how to spend and get through with the season. My friend always advices me to relax especially every time I find myself physically and mentally troubled because of wanting something for a specific occasion or time. My mother who has a lot of friends in the neighborhood as well as nieces and nephews, is always assuming that these people are coming over at home to celebrate Christmas with us. Of course, she hardly thinks of possible dishes and goodies that she can give. I can see her physically stressed with the demands of the season. Actually, I tried to help her once but since I just arrived from my work, I also got tired.

Thinking what to give to whom and trying to spend limited budget for all Christmas expenses are two most nerve-wracking tasks. In as much as we want to give wonderful presents to those who we like to be happy, we also have to remember that our mind and body must both have a break.

I invited my mom for a bikram yoga class where she could rest her mind and body, just at least before Christmas. In fact, this is one of my Christmas presents to her. We both felt lighter and ready for the season.

It’s always a good thing we have bikram yoga as a part of our life. Perhaps, without it, living is a lot more stressful and difficult to cope with.

The Bikram Addicts

“I am a Bikram addict. It’s not a statement to question or judge about. It’s a fact. And no one can change that to me. “These were the words of our senior Bikram instructor in Manila’s Bikram Yoga Center’s big event last Wednesday. The whole yoga center decided to convene all regular members and even guests to celebrate a great success of Bikram yoga in the country. This event is also a means to give way to acquaint “old” Bikram addicts to new ones who come from different places in Manila.

Bikram addicts including me enjoyed the night of sharing wonderful stories and discoveries about our yoga experiences. Every year, before it ends, a tradition like this event happens and always marks a very significant day in the calendar. When our senior yoga instructor made a short speech about his being “addict” on Bikram yoga, everybody went on a great awe because of how long he has been in the practice and how Bikram yoga really changed his life for the better.

Other Bikram addicts gave dance numbers which truly amazed me because they have performed unordinary dances but they made a twist on it by integrating yoga poses on a beat of a slow- and fast- modern music. Expectedly, I have gained friends from the event and I also have obtained lessons from other Bikram addicts which inspire me even more to continue practicing yoga and campaign it to my other friends who are still not into it.
