Worry-Free Holiday

Every holiday season, people are very busy with shopping for new clothes, shoes and gifts for their loved ones. I must admit that I do the same thing. Along with this holiday routine, people are also busy with thinking what food to prepare and how to arrange stuffs at home.

On the other hand, many of us today are worrying where to get money for all these. We are starting to have problem about how to spend and get through with the season. My friend always advices me to relax especially every time I find myself physically and mentally troubled because of wanting something for a specific occasion or time. My mother who has a lot of friends in the neighborhood as well as nieces and nephews, is always assuming that these people are coming over at home to celebrate Christmas with us. Of course, she hardly thinks of possible dishes and goodies that she can give. I can see her physically stressed with the demands of the season. Actually, I tried to help her once but since I just arrived from my work, I also got tired.

Thinking what to give to whom and trying to spend limited budget for all Christmas expenses are two most nerve-wracking tasks. In as much as we want to give wonderful presents to those who we like to be happy, we also have to remember that our mind and body must both have a break.

I invited my mom for a bikram yoga class where she could rest her mind and body, just at least before Christmas. In fact, this is one of my Christmas presents to her. We both felt lighter and ready for the season.

It’s always a good thing we have bikram yoga as a part of our life. Perhaps, without it, living is a lot more stressful and difficult to cope with.
