What To Bring In Your Yoga Class

Is it your first time to go to your yoga class? Knowing that it’s your first time, you are quite unaware on what to bring and what not to bring. Most probably you are researching now on those things and other facts about yoga. Don’t worry, there are minimal preparation required. Let me share to you the essentials of yoga. Here are the things you should bring to class:

1. Your own yoga mat

Some studios allow you to use the yoga mats they have. Although these mats are also used by other students. To be more hygienic, it would be better to bring your own. If you don’t have one yet, don’t be in a hurry. You can use the one in the studio and just cover it with towel until you get to buy your own mat.

2. A pair of warm socks

You don’t necessarily need to wear your socks the entire time. In fact, yoga is best practiced barefoot. The socks you bring will only be used at the end of your class meditation. Your feet might feel cold after the warm yoga class that’s why it is advisable to wear socks to protect it from chills.

3. Sweatshirt

Wear your sweatshirt at the start of the class for your body to sweat even more. When you feel     that it heats you up already, that’s the time you remove your sweatshirt. You can put back on your sweatshirt at the end of the session, since it will feel a bit cold right after leaving the yoga     room as you enter an air-conditioned room.

4. Bottle of water

In yoga, you will sweat big time. Like in any other sports you try, it is important that you replenish and hydrate your body by drinking water.

5. Towel

Since you will sweat a lot, be hygenic and wipe out those sweat from your face and body. A towel will help you out rather than looking all wet and soaked with perspiration after the class.     You can also bring an extra towel for your mat, in case you will be using one from the studio.

6. An open mind

People who never tried yoga can discourage you to pursue yoga classes. I suggest that you give it a try and have an open mind. See how yoga can benefit your health and body.
